Essilor, the eyewear manufacturer in France, started a three-year strategic partnership with Chinese Internet giant Tencent. Through this cooperation, public awareness of eye health will be raised in a giant country like China, and the local Tencent network will be useful to provide innovative digital products to a wider environment by providing a more effective professional service.
One of the most important problems of Chinese public health is poor eyesight. Because more than 600 million of the 1.4 billion Chinese have vision problems that have not been removed using a medical procedure or glasses. This is a problem that needs to be emphasized in China because of a lack of awareness of vision and neglect to reach a doctor.
In this regard, the cooperation between eyewear manufacturer Essilor and Tencent will create a new understanding for consumers, enhance the position of ophthalmologists and meet the need for a better view of the Chinese people.
Accordingly, it will develop its knowledge in this field and mobilize the trainer programs to increase public awareness; On the other hand, Tencent will provide access to large audiences thanks to its huge network.
